HelloOooOOooO!
So, the topic of today is my major.
I am studying psychology, and I personally feel that my major can affect the world in a very positive way. Mental health is something very important within the well-being of people, and basically my career is in charge of helping the person in those moments of discomfort where they need to be heard, which can give them well-being, isn't this something good for the world?
Psychology contributes to the creation of "happier" people, which is what we hope to achieve, and happier people bring benefits to the world in every way. Although it is a small grain of sand, I feel that we contribute to the achievement of peace (I don't know if it is worldwide, but it is for a considerable number of people).
In this process of university training to be a future professional psychologist I find myself... complicated. I'm afraid of regretting it halfway, I mean, I've seen that happen to a lot of people. The work of a psychologist is heavy, it is literally trying to solve the lives of others, not one or two people, but a large number.
But, I feel that the end of that difficult process is the comforting thing. Knowing that at the end of the process I will see a less complicated person, ideally happier, fills me.
